International Mathematical Olympiad
Reportedly, the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), the first of the International Science Olympiads, is a math competition for pre-university pupils. Romania hosted the first IMO in 1959. Except for 1980, it has subsequently been held every year. Teams of up to six students are sent by more than 100 nations, which together make up more than 90% of the world's population. Teams also include a team leader, deputy leader, and observers.

National Standard Examination (NSE)
The first phase of the international Olympiads
(like International Physics Olympiad, International Chemistry Olympiad, International Astronomy Olympiad, etc.)
is the National Standard Examination (NSE) conducted by IAPT in the subjects of
physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy, and junior science.

International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO)
The International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) is conducted for school-going students by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF), an educational foundation established in 1998, based in New Delhi, India.

National Level Science Talent Search Examination (NSTSE)
Reportedly, the National-Level Science Talent Search Examination is known as NSTSE. It is a skill-based evaluation that was developed in India for Indian schools following a thorough analysis of the Central and several State Boards' curricula.

National Talent Search Exam (NTSE)
Reportedly, the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a national-level scholarship program organized by the government and conducted by the NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training).
KVPY Exam
Reportedly, the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) was a national program of fellowship in basic sciences that was created and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, in order to draw in exceptionally bright students for basic science courses and a career in scientific research.
The program's goals include identifying students with research aptitude and talent, assisting them in realizing their academic potential, motivating them to pursue scientific research careers, and ensuring the development of the nation's top scientific talent.
Note: Reportedly, DST has decided to subsume KVPY with INSPIRE.
